Heal trauma, find peace, feel free.

Therapy for PTSD, trauma, and painful memories.

Online therapy based in Scottsdale, Arizona and all across Arizona and California.

“I can’t seem to push the painful memories away.” You are doing your best to focus the attention away but it’s a struggle.

    • Bring feelings of helplessness and fear in an instant.

    • Make a series of terrifying events pile on top of each other.

    • Leave your mind filled with memories of what or who scared, threatened, or harmed you.

    • Shatter your sense of safety and make you feel at risk in unexpected ways.

    • Bring intense fear of being in the same situation or place such as your car, work, school, or other social situation.

    • Rob you of your trust in others if you have been the victim of a crime or been involved in a life or death situation.

    • Dramatically change your views of everyday life making you feel vulnerable, terrified, and unable to do the daily things you once did with ease.

Trauma can impact us in ways we do not expect.

    • Sounds, smells, tastes, and certain places are suddenly bringing fear and painful memories.

    • You avoid places and situations in hopes of keeping the pain away.

    • You may find that your partner, children, friends, or colleagues have to repeat themselves when talking to you because your mind has wandered off somewhere else.

    • You may find yourself forgetting why you are in a particular place and what you are there for.

    • Frustration may set in and grow with the difficulties that happen as a result of struggling to concentrate.

    • Fear of memories and feelings that can flood back to your mind may keep you stuck and wanting to stay away.

    • Dread takes over despite reassurance from family and trusted friends that everything will be ok.

    • Wanting to please others with your presence and participation only to be hyper focused on avoiding and escaping your fear and memories.

    • Feeling that you are falling further and further behind in your work or school project can create additional frustration and stress piled on top of your shoulders.

    • Asking yourself, “How can I do this project  when I can’t even think clearly?”

    • Finding yourself in a downward spiral in your mind because the work is not getting done.

Putting yesterdays PAIN in the PAST for good.

Together we can help you gain control of your life and feel like you again.

Any experience that has threatened our well-being can leave us feeling scared, vulnerable, confused, anxious and frustrated. These feelings rob us of our happiness, focus, peace of mind, and can take a toll on our relationships.

We will work toward untangling all of these feelings together. We will explore the impact your experience has had on you and others around you.

I will provide a safe space for exploring these feelings. I will listen with an open mind and  without judgment, with the understanding of the profound effect this experience has had on you.

We will work to develop coping skills for stressors and triggers by digging deep into what works best to provide relief for you.

We will discover your RESILIENCE by uncovering the strengths that you already have but may have lost sight of when doing your best to just get through another day,

Develop trust in yourself once again by mastering the use of newly developed coping skills and bringing a sense of confidence back into your day.

Our time in therapy will focus on the changes you would like to see and feel for yourself by defining  your best hopes for our time together.
